James Jones, 44, was arrested on Monday night on charges of video voyeurism of a child under 16 years old. Deputies said Jones was caught on store surveillance video walking into the Best Buy on South Orange Blossom Trail near the Florida Mall on September 18 and appeared to be placing his cellphone under the skirts of girls under the age of Security inside the store confronted the man and chased him outside. Deputies said an anonymous tipster recognized the man in the surveillance video as his neighbor, known as "Jimbo. Jones' mother later told deputies that the man in the surveillance video is her son using his cellphone camera to shoot up the skirts of two young female shoppers. After the video was broadcasted on the news, Jones' mother said her son hired an attorney. Deputies also said when they searched Jones' home, they found the same clothing he was wearing in the Best Buy store.

Authorities are warning the public about a man accused of asking girls if he could take photos of their feet, then once they were seated, covertly taking photos or videos up their skirts. Rawland Spring Eagle Strong, 31, faces allegations of illegally photographing or video-recording two girls in Northeast Portland. Investigators believe there could be more alleged victims. A Multnomah County grand jury indictment filed Thursday accuses Strong of two counts of attempted using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct, two counts of attempted encouraging first-degree child sexual abuse and two counts of second-degree invasion of personal privacy. Rawland pleaded not guilty to all charges during an arraignment Friday.
