Most poker players lose in the long run. This means that most of you are losing players and may ask yourself from time to time why you suck at poker? The good news is that if you want to improve your results you can take specific steps to start winning more. The number one reason most players suck at poker is because they play too many hands. Statistically the player with the best starting hand wins more often than the other players in the pot. This is a long term average, but it makes sense.
Sucking at poker… sucks. Regardless, losing at poker sucks. No slow playing, no fancy 3-bet float check-raises or anything like that. You need to play from position, play hands according to players, ranges and playing styles, play draws and setmine based on odds, and more. These fundamentals will make you money in poker. To go along with my basic strategy, over playing draws is a big reason why so many people suck at poker.
