Show less Scottish terriers are friendly, dignified, and high-spirited dogs. Each week, help your Scottish Terrier be at its best by caring for its coat, brushing its teeth, clipping its nails, and keeping its eyes and ears clean. Grooming can take a lot of work, but having a happy, healthy, good-looking dog will be worth the effort. To groom a Scottish terrier, start by using electric clippers with a number 10 guard to trim your Scottish terrier's head, chin, and chest.
Ah me. Just got home from taking a little off around the sides. And a little trim around the ears and feet, and a little more stripping to get out that old undercoat. God bless Her. She does the best She can between my spa sessions, but never seems to get as much of the undercoat out as Godmother Carol does. When DOGS get hot, we cool off through our feet and by panting. And being in the shade helps.
This is so sad. I have a scottie and we groom her ourselves. I wish I had a groomer like you. Most do not understand Scotties and will pull and yank on their hair.
An independent and stubborn character, the Scottish Terrier dog breed is also quite sensitive to praise and blame. He totally rocks at agility and earthdog trials those vermin have got to go. Contrary to popular belief, small size doesn't necessarily an apartment dog make — plenty of small dogs are too high-energy and yappy for life in a high-rise. Being quiet, low energy, fairly calm indoors, and polite with the other residents, are all good qualities in an apartment dog.
