Print this page. This thread is from the archive. I intend to buy a midget having had two in my youth. The seems to be the most affordable but can the engine be tuned to get a little more power from it. I'm not too keen on replacing the engine with a K series. Many thanks.

Available at all good newsagents including WHSmith. Spridgets are good cheap fun and many reckon that they perform better than the larger MGB — certainly the handling is more kart-like which makes them ideally suited for track work and autotesting. Rust is the main worry with any Spridget and the majority have been patched up over the years because the monocoque construction corrodes very badly. Other areas to watch include the sills and A-posts.
