In contrast, abscisic acid and a gibberellin biosynthesis inhibitor, paclobutrazol, resulted in a more adult phenotype; specifically, flowering was earlier, net photosynthesis and leaf diffusive resistance rates were equal to those of adult plants, and fewer leaves were monofoliolate.
