My husband was recently jacking up our Audi Allroad front passenger side tire was removed and the car fell off the jack. He jacked it up again and it fell a second time. He thinks there was no damage done but I have to think some harm could have happened. The car hit with some force as there are scratches in the pavement from the brake drums. What is the worst case scenario in this situation?

View Full Version : Bad thing happened to me Wed. Car fell off Jack Stands! This is the first time I have been able to talk about it since it happened : Well Wed. I took a four day vacation to work on the Miata in hopes of getting it together in time for this next Wed's local cruise night. I worked on it from morning till 9 - 10pm at night Sun, Mon, Tues, and on Wed I had the car on jackstands in the front and ramps in the back doing the rotors, pads and painting the calipers. Once I had finished that all I had to do was the rears plus the rear shocks and put the new wheels and tires on and except for a few details she was all done and ready to drive.
How damaged is my car, it fell off the jack with one wheel off?
Remember Me? Private First Class. So 2 days after putting on new rims and tires, I let my dad drive my car as a test drive while I am at work. I get a call saying he has a flat on a bridge and cant stop so he has to drive about miles. I did not have a spare in the car because it was 2 days after the new non run flat tires were put on the car.
This actually happened about an hour ago. I took the wheel covers off and loosed the nuts from both tires. I lifted my car up with the jack and took the left tire off. Without thinking, I walked inside to wash the brake dust off the wheel covers when my friend came inside and told me that my car was lying on the ground! I walked outside to see what he was talking about and saw that my car had rolled off the jack and the rotor had slammed against the concrete!
