As the name implies, they shoot to kill with a two guitar assault and then pick up the pieces once the damage is done. Hard hitting metal hardcore with a definite grind and mosh thing going on. Both bands have a growing cult fallowing due to their past 7"s and demos. Black Castle throws down four tracks of intense electro-thrash. Black Lava delivers a mixture that brings together sounds of bands like Tristeza, The Cure and even moments of early PIL, creating a soundtrack that is truly unlike anything else coming out these days. You can see the progression in their music, as it still holds onto its hardcore roots but now adds an even more synth sound.

This is not always as simple an endeavor as it may first seem. The perfect best vinyl record list is as elusive an idea yet we love chasing after it…somewhere in the pursuit is a spirit of curation that we think leads to a better relationship with music overall. This list is by no means exhaustive. We hope that it will create a discussion and you, the reader, will tell us your own picks by tweeting us vinylmeplease. To listen to Animal Collective is an experience.
Stylistically, the Immortal Lee County Killers sound harked back to the Gun Club of the early Eighties, but also had something in common with contemporaries the White Stripes , the Soledad Brothers and other practitioners of raw, bluesy garage rock. The group were first played on the Peel show on 12 December It was an inauspicious debut: Peel was not amused by the 7" sleeve view image , which has a photo of what he took to be a member of the band not only giving "the finger" to the camera, but doing it with both hands. Peel commented:. But there you go, that's what they're doing.
